Day 2!

Yesterday was my first day eating all raw vegan, and I was able to do it without any trouble. I didn't assume it would be this way because I just jumped right in, so didn't have the day planned out or anything. But for some reason it flowed very smoothly. I ate a delicious breakfast of sliced avocado and strawberries with a small amount of agave nectar. Lunch was fresh English peas I bought at the Farmer's Market...and some more strawberries. Later I had an apple, followed by, yes, more strawberries with a few raw pecans and medjool dates. For dinner I had a soy/fruit smoothie with a little bit of vegan protein powder added in. The main thing I noticed is that I was satisfied all day and never felt hungry even though the amount of food I ate was far less than when I eat bread, pasta, cheese, etc. Fantastic! I woke up this morning feeling very rested. So, now I'm off to have some coffee with a little soy creamer (can't give that heavenly beverage up just yet) but looking forward to another Raw Day! I would like to begin getting more GREENS into my diet to balance the other things, so will be going to Whole Foods today with an idea of what I want. I'll come back here later and read everyone else's posts for inspiration! :)

    You are starting out with a very strong foundation! You RAWK! You are doing so well!! Congrats! It is strange isn't it - how eating this way - usually means also eating LESS - and yet we are MORE satisfied -- then when we ate pizza and burgers? Too cool!!
