A Little of This; A Little of That

Today has been a fascinating day. Well, yesterday and today have actually ~ except I can't remember yesterday.

Last night I was watching a show on HULU. It was 9:30 and I was falling asleep so, I turned it off. Couldn't sleep. Got up, went to the computer, got some work done.

Oh! Yesterday! Yes! My server went down. Because Shazzie is in the UK, she asked if we could do Let's Talk Raw at a different time than my usual. O.k., so, we set it for 8 a.m. my time today and 4 p.m. hers. I usually promote my show a day ahead yet, there was little point in doing so because no one could access the site. BUT, I did it because IF someone wanted to access the site... AND, the site was up at the time they said it would be ~ but, alas, it wasn't. I was told 4-5 hours. 8 hours later, it was still down so, I called. They had it up in 5 minutes.

So, I was up, promoting LTR AND, I have my UStream show scheduled for 7:30 a.m. I was up until 4:30. I set a timer for 2 hours ~ time enough to get up, shower, set up the equipment for my show and whatever.

I was up, awake and THRIVING at 6:30!! I did my show and it's a good one, if I say so myself.. although, as usual, if I don't write things down I tend to forget and, I had to keep it to :15 because I had LTR coming up :15 later.

That was my morning.

So, what's the point of all that? lol None, really.

Anyway, the point of this entry ~

I've been looking for a charity that I know really makes a difference. Martine (Green_Woman) and I have connected at various levels and I saw that she mentioned a charity she contributes to. So, I asked her about it. It called "God's Haven for Children" and GOD'S HAVENS FOR CHILDREN (GHFC) is a non-profit, international, non-denominational Christian organization created to establish and maintain refuge homes for all at-risk children (with the primary emphasis on serving sexually abused, molested, and exploited children).

Although I'm not Christian yet having been abused and raped myself, this fit me perfectly.

I decided then and there I would contribute some money to this organization. I saw they took Paypal. Hmmm. Easier/faster than writing a check yet... I wanted something coming in to go to it. Also, I chose another organization I've been wanting to support ~ Jungle Friends Primate Sactuary.

This morning I received an email that someone had purchased some dvd's I have on my website. I haven't even been promoting them at all! So, I said I would donate a portion of it to the primates. Guess the offer was too small because it kicked back on me. (not too small for them; just for the universe). So, I waited.

This evening, I was sitting on my bed reading/studying and I just thought to come to the computer and check email. Well, I received another notice that I had received unexpected money via Paypal.

Hmmm. O.k., so, I donated that whole amount to the girls at God's Haven and then decided to try again with the primates. This time I upped the funds and ~ there it went!

Anyway, each organization received some funds, I received some funds... win/win all the way!!!

Here's the thing ~

When you give a smile, you receive a smile
When you give appreciations, you receive appreciations
When you give money, you receive money... not necessarily from the same place you gave it... other than, the universe.

Don't give TO receive yet, keep your gifts, whatever they may be, in the current. Keep them flowing. Release and they'll be returned to you.
