Day 4

Hmmm....I must say I enjoy eating again! I made some amazing crackers/bread in the dehydrator that even hubby liked! Course I didn't tell him there were nuts in them as he claims to hate all nuts, lol. I made 'Sun Burgers' and some rawtworst, or some such something-or-other from the Alissa cookbook and they both turned out fantastic. Again, with hubby approval. So I have been making 'sandwiches' for lunch and dinner using the crackers, some 'burger', lettuce and avocado. OMG. I am in heaven. I have been craving it and its hard to not overeat! Eating when you are hungry, stopping when you are full. What a concept. Seems so simple, yet how many people really do it? I am trying to become one of those people but it is a challenge. I am so used to either not eating, limiting myself or bingeing that I am not even quite sure what real hunger is. Well, that isn't totally true. Since going raw I have become more aware and I do feel hunger now, I just have to now be careful to answer when it calls as low blood sugar is not my friend.

So, with the new 30 Challenge at hand, I'd like to have a few goals for this month:
-eating intuitively, all the time
-clear up Candidia
-increase energy
-lose 10 lbs
-run 'long run' daily
-drink 2l. water a day

I know I had a couple more but I forgot! I have a Dr.s appt the first week of June and it would be fantastic to have made some real leaps and bounds by then. These antibiotics are killing me and if I could get off them by then it would be great. I am also still lower energy than I would have hoped at this point so I am hoping that continues to improve. My weight...I would love to lose 10 more lbs. HOWEVER, I also am ok with my body right now. I know I may lose a couple pounds as my body adjusts to the elimination of more allergens, and I also know that as I heal, eat more intuitively, increase my exercise, etc that my weight may just naturally go down. But, if it doesn't (or only a couple lbs) I will be ok with that, because I know I am doing the best thing I possibly can for myself right now health-wose and that is really all that matters.

I don't know how its going to go with the kids though. They are about 50% raw, but like alot of cooked foods as well. Seems unfair to take that away after everything else they have had taken away food-wise. I am going to just let that unfold and see what happens. Hubby is certainly giving it a try, though he still has some left-over 'stash' in his cupboard so he is not totally on board yet. He said he wants to be though so...I am hoping he really gets into it, and experiences the benefits. He has alot going on right now and is a stress eater/emo eater so this is to be expected. The 'stash' won't be being replaced by me once its gone though!

Well, that's the update from here...off to find some breakfast!

yummm. you make that sound so good!! Funny thing - that's my dh's complaint too, says he can't eat nuts - they're just hard on his tummy . But he loved the spicy tacos made with walnuts! I didn't tell him they were walnuts until later.

I've been thinking of trying that bun recipe in Alissa book - thanks!! Now I will definitely give it a try.

Oh DG... I decided to just dive in and make Alissa's Calzones tonight (they look like a lot of work!) - but they won't be ready to eat until tomorrow. I've had the buckwheat soaking and sprouting for two days and now they're ready!

I'll let you know how they taste!
