A Little of This; A Little of That
Waayyy Outside My Comfort Zone
I began my new UStream show this morning. I had planned on starting it last Monday as in last week Monday yet, kept procrastinating. I think my main concern was that I couldn't test everything before it went live. (you can ~ mostly).
I've gotten use to doing shows where I'm not seen yet, on UStream, eeeeuww! I KNOW I look better than I do on camera. (well, I think I do. )
Set it up, everything is blurry. Ummm, how do I turn on the camera?
Then we do a test. O.k., fine. Test done. Now, how do I change the "channel" title from our test to "Tap-A-Day2Success"? I think we spent HOURS trying to find that out. (Anything to distract actually having to go on camera and do a live show)
In the meantime, did a couple more tests and realized I wasn't give people enough time to repeat what I was saying. Slowed it down and now, saying it twice.
Anyway, after about a week of testing, figuring out the technology (STILL not clear on that), I got my first show up. Woohoo!!!
I recorded it so whenever anyone goes there, they can see the recording. Still need to figure timing on it as there's like 10 seconds where I'm not saying anything.
So! What I've realized ~ I've scared myself silly; I didn't use my own tools (and now, I'm using them on the program so I'm using them at LEAST once-a-day), it all works in it's own time; even with the self-created stress I didn't injure myself OR make myself sick... How cool is that???
Unless I've got a meeting or something, I'm planning on doing the program every day. I can actually just do it and upload it so folks can look at it any time they want.
Check it out please and let me know what you think! Thanks! Tap-A-Day2Success
