Thinking.....

Rate this Entry
Hey There ;)
I am new to blogging so I am not even sure if I am writing in the correct place or where this will end up once i get brave enough to push Submit. Anyhoo, here I am. I have sooo many thoughts going round and round in my head and this is really the best place to release them (my sweetie is starting to roll his eyes when i ramble on about my RAW thoughts. He is VERY supportive and will eat what ever i put in front of him but he has his own waves to ride right now and that is cool ).

I have been consciously raw since Easter lost a few pounds but still have more fat than is 'normal' for me and way off my goal (but it is still early days for the goal thingy).

So here's some of the contents of Elfie's brain today:...
? - should I buy a good blender (total price more than I spend in clothes a year) so that I can have green smoothies that do not require me to floss after consuming, or a food processor?
? - am I just eating too much and hence the slow loss in fat?
Average daily intake is as follows: i am going to be shocked once it is in type, aren’t I
1 or 2 avocados
2 grapefruits
2 bananas
large tomatoe
large marinated mushroom
cup of spinach
8 raw almonds (not every day)
1 or 2 dates (not every day)
2 slices Essene bread
1 apple
lots of water

WOW that is a lot...or is it? Comments encouraged ...please

Okay that all for the moment...essay's to write, grapefruit to eat.

Thanks for listening and putting up with the rantings of a once captured brain:) .....Helllooooooo , Hellloooooooo....... Echo's of the mind ;)

Hey Elfie - you're in the right spot to blog - this is the area where we all keep a journal of our journey. We support each other - laugh with each other , cry with each other... you get the ideadidn't look like that much food to me - plus it's all healthy stuff. Are you getting any exercise?

whoops - i was correcting my typo when the post went 'zzip' and was gone! Anyway - I've read on RFT question area many people say that avocados are high fat (healthy fat - but still high) and that they were not losing weight - some of the suggestions were that they should not eat as much Raw healthy fat and add more greens into their diets. Personally - I don't know! I love avos!! But I don't eat them every day.

Hey Starfire, thanks for the comments. I sit at a computer all day but work out at the gym usually 5 days a week, 45min-1hr of cardio 5 days and 3 days 30min weights, and my weekends are full of festivals and diving. I shall try cutting back on the avos and adding more salads and greens. I was just pleased that for the first time in years i was actually full for more than 2 hours. Advos do rock!, I had never really eaten them much before as they were a expensive, now I just do it!

That does not look like tons of food. You need fuel to burn the fat you know. I enjoy avos also but some have reported stalled weightloss when eating them often. Maybe your body needs more of something else. This is the right place to post and we LUV havin' you here! Will check back to see how you do! Keep postin' waht's in Elfie's brain!
