T minus 6 days...and a false alarm

Rate this Entry
Well I had my first ever major false alarm last night....and it was awful. Nothing like getting your hopes up only to have them dashed to pieces. I had good strong conrtactions for 1 1/2 hours 3-4 minutes apart that were increasing in intensity and then they just stopped. So discouraging. I thought I was going to finally meet my sweet little baby, but no, no dice. Still pregnant.

I just enjoyed a truly delicious salad with spinach, romaine, peppers, tomatoes, cukes, an avocado, sunflower seeds, and sprouts. I made a yummy dressing using a little bit of cashew butter, some apple cider vinegar and a bit of agave. It was very satisfying and delicious. My other recent love is banana "ice cream". I love the stuff. It is just so good. I sprinkle some crushed up pecan pieces over it and a little bit of homemade raw chocolate sauce and it is just scrumptious! Just yummy raw deliciousness. Other than that I have been enjoying my Honey Crisp apples. Those are my alltime favorite type of apple, they are so sweet and good.

So besides being extremely uncomfortable and having a ton of lower back pain as a result of still being pregnant everything is going great. I am really looking forward to having this baby but the month is slipping away and my hopes of having an October baby are slipping away too. Sigh. I know I should just enjoy these last few days but that is hard to do when sitting, standing, walking, laying down, gee just about everything ranges from awkward and uncomfortable to just plain painful.

Hey, I did this with my last pregnancy, every night 4-6 hours of contractions and then when morning came they stopped. There was nothing "false" about it.....the only difference between it and the "real thing" was that it finally just kept going and I had a baby. I even kept losing my plug those five days, so I know it was doing something. I have heard that the more children you have, the more common the stop and start thing is, but when it finally kicks in it will go fast.
