DAY 1: New Beginning...again!!!

Hi everyone!!!

I'm off to a great start this morning! Ready for my new 30 day RAW challenge! I think I'm going to try to keep it as simple as possible. I fell off of the wagon the last time because I allowed myself to have "just one bite" of cooked food and, to be honest with all of you, I really was not feeling the dehydrating recipes! I tried several from Alissa's book and, while I do LOVE the RAW undehydrated recipes, I didn't enjoy the other ones after spending literally all day in the kitchen preparing and waiting many hours for it. So, I'm gonna take Alissa's advise in the book and keep it as simple as I can for this first month...trying not thinking too much about food...eating as much as I can eat from nature...

I do have a question: Does anyone have a recipe for raw Green Smoothie? I do fix the Green Lemonaide (Kale, Celery, 1 lemon, 2 apples) and LOVE that!

    Hi Renee! Just wanted to send you a word (or two) of encouragement... I too am returning to raw after 9 months... I was raw for two months last summer and lost almost 30 pounds, then felt I needed to go out for a "real" dinner on my birthday and fell off the wagon! I'm in the May Challenge too... hang in there and it will be great!

    The simpler the better!! I mostely am just too lazy to make real recieps... just eat as the nature gives it to you! (Oh...I know that... As soon as I allow myself the smallest little piece of cooked its over and I am off ) But stick to it! Good Luck for may!

    Aloha ReneeH!! Go to Gwena's blog - she is the JUICE FEAST QUEEN!! She just lost 29 pounds on her juice feast! Maybe send her a shout out - she probably has a great recipe. Or the other place you can check out is the recipe section - just post the question and you'll get a ba-zillion suggestions! ;) Blessings on you May journey!

    Thank you all so much for the encouragement! I really need it! Falling off of the "raw wagon" is easy...getting back on is a real challenge, but I know it'll be worth it! I'm just going to concentrate on TODAY....just taking one day at a time, one meal at a time. I really do appreciate this site! Can anyone tell me how I can post a "before" photo? I have it saved on my computer, but I don't know how to put it on this site... Thanks!
