We've not got a HUGE ~ what do a call it ~ CLOUD of smoke outside our home. The La Canada/Flintridge fire is totally out of control. He's taking pics, I'll put a link up soon to where you can see it.
Here's good start.
When I went out to the farmers' market, I could see flame and smoke at the top of Lincoln Ave. Now, it's moving east. So far, it seems to be staying high in the mountains. I don't know who else lives over this way other than Spicyfull and myself.
The weather is around 100 degrees down here. Can you imagine what it's like up there, near the fire? Sheesh! VERY low humidity. It is so amazingly dry.
What seems to be happening is now, the wind is starting up. I see the wind starting down here which means it may be really going up there.
Firefighters are amazing. They've come from all the nearby cities and states to help fight the huge fires we've got here ~ one in Azusa is now 85% contained; Hemet is still going; Riverside has been contained ~ this one ~ totally out of control. Never been this close to something like this.
I'll post links to what's happening up the hill from us soon as He posts them.
