Training Day 9

Rate this Entry
I had THE best day today. DH dropped Quentin and I off on Main St. this morning and we hit the Goodwill first thing. Usually I just go in and look at the books but today I decided to check out the clothes too. My halfway there jeans are getting really big on me and I just don't want to buy new right now. Anyway, I found 3 pair of jeans, (size 8, 11 & 12) 1 pair of khaki capri's (size 12) and a denim button up shirt (size medium) to go with the capri's all for FIFTEEN DOLLARS!!! Not only did I get a GREAT deal but the fact that I tried on and was able to wear ANYTHING in a size 8 nearly knocked me over. Now, I know it's just based on the cut of the pants since the actual waist size is the same as the 11's I bought BUT STILL, I own a pair of pants with only a single digit for a size.

:::does happy dance:::

After the Goodwill Quentin wanted pizza so I watched him eat and then went over to the health food store and bought myself a slice of raw pizza and a little raw chocolate bar. Both were SO good. Then we did some window shopping at the antique store, teacher's supply store, fair trade store (where I always find AWESOME stuff) and a few other little kitschy shops.

When we had finally finished shopping and browsing we decided to start walking to a friend's house about 2 miles away. The walk was TOUGH as it was straight up a STEEP hill. We never actually went to the friend's house since once we got there I decided I just wanted to keep walking. Quentin was SUCH a good sport and walked the whole time without complaint. He even carried my shopping bag a little ways.

DH finally picked us up about 6 hrs. later and we headed to the farmer's market where I loaded up with TONS of great stuff. I found a bunch of stuff on sale and when we stopped back by my friend's house on the way home she gave me a big Tupperware bowl full of cherries that they had picked this week. They wanted to take their 1 yr. old daughter to pick cherries but -- get this -- they don't actually eat them. Who the heck doesn't eat cherries?

Exercise
a TON of walking (at least 5 hard miles)

Food
green smoothie (kale, mango, OJ, grapefruit juice, banana)
slice raw pizza
Love Street mini raw chocolate bar
cherries
