Days 2,3 and 4
OK well lets see.
Day 2 - at the cafe. I successfully resisted the nummy nummy treats, but I did have a soy milk latte. Had a super good banana/soy/acai smoothie for breakfast, and some of my muslix...I seem to be drinking a lot of soy, and I know its not raw, but I'm almost done I swear! Then I'm onto making nut milks. Actually come to think of it, day 2 wasn't so great. Lots of soy, and then the dinner fiasco. Well we went to this restaraunt in Barrie called Moxies. I was stoked to have a nice big garden salad. Well, do you think they had a vegan salad on the menu??? Hell NO! 8 salads and they all had chicken or salmon or some other meat product. So I asked for one of the salads minus the chicken. The manager came out and and talked to me and said they could 'beef up' a salad for me with lots of veggies etc etc. SO out comes the salad. A dinner plate loosely sprinkled with salad, 2 grilled asparagus and 6 thin thin red pepper slices. All this for 13.99. Come on now. Not going back THERE! I did taste 2 of my friends french fries. mmm they were tasty lol![]()
Back at the house I did OK, nibbling on my dried zuchs and potatoes and almonds...I did have a few drinks but a girl has to live a little!
Day 3 - yesterday - SO HUNGRY! I had 2 raw food bars, a ton of almonds, the rest of my veggies and then when I got home, I finished up the broccoli/cauli/carrot slaw with cashew mayo and then i had a can of Amy's split pea soup. SO really...the weekend was a write off...and I am up 2 lbs to boot (didnt have a lot of water - i'm attributing this to dehydration/bloating issues)
Day 4 today...had more muslix with 1/2 c of soy milk, an apple, a banana, a small bowl of grapes and raspberries and blueberries and 2 Sunza buckwheat crackers oh and a salad at lunch. Dinner I am having wraps - marinated veggies (zuchs, onions, carrots, in braggs) with sprouts and avocados in swiss chard. Possibly more fruit after.
I picked up 2 un-cookbooks today (still waiting for Alissa's - its at my mom's in florida). I got RAWvolution by Matt Amsden (a fellow Canuck) and the Raw Truth by Jeremy Safron. I wanted Juliano's RAW but couldn't find it. SO now I think I'm set anyways....
