Sleepless in Seattle

It is 5:00am. I slept for a couple hours tonight, then woke up. Tried to watch TV, but ended up playing on RFT. Why...? Because there is no one home to tell me to get to bed.
My daughter is at a slumber party and my husband is in Omaha for a week, maybe two weeks.I've been with him for 25 years and haven't spent more than a couple nights without him. The few times he has been away I have always used food to cope. And today wasn't any different.
The day started with a wonderful green smoothie of nectarines, strawberries, and chard (with VG and Spirulina). In the afternoon I went food shopping. Came home and started munching. Called that lunch. For dinner I made the 3 components that go in Alissa's calzone and piled them all on a shell made of RAWvolution's Onion Bread (already dehydrated). Made one slight modification to Alissa's filling. I had used up all the olive oil in a balsamic dressing earlier this week, so instead of olive oil on the brocolli and mushrooms, I used the leftover balsamic dressing. Dehydrated it for a couple hours, just enough to warm it up ever so slightly. Loved every bite of it. Followed that with a dessert of White Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake smothered in strawberry sauce. (Maybe the best raw dessert I've ever made, but then I'm still learning.
Around midnight I put some Brazil Nut Pancakes in the dehydrator for brunch tomorrow. Don't know what I'll do after that.
It's getting light out and the birds are chirping, and I'm finally starting to get tired again. I'm going to get back in bed with a cup of chamomile tea. Have to set the alarm for 9:00am to flip the pancakes. Then I'll probably go back to bed until noon.
I'm sure I will feel a little easier tomorrow when my daughter is back home. I know I can't use food to cope with my emptiness the entire time my husband is gone. I've got plenty of projects to chose from. I'm going to relax for the weekend, but starting on Monday I'm kicking myself in gear with a smoothie fast and diving headfirst into my list of projects.
