Colonic for the first time...
(consider yourself tmi-warned)
Yeop, I did it. This afternoon i had my very first appointment at the health clinic. The therapist was great, made me feel very comfortable and calm.
First she gave me all the info about what was going to happen, showed me "the gear" and pictures of the colon and what the water did in there. Felt really good to know what was going to happen.
Then she gave me the most relaxing light massage, and then the main event started...
The whole session lasted for about 2 1/2 hours, and it took quite some time before anything came out, but oh my gosh... when it rains it pours, is all i'm gonna say
Loads of thick jelly-ish stuff came out, and it felt really intense. I have had lots of tension in my lower back/pelvis, and have very bad menstrual cramps, and all that tension was brought up and i think a lot of it let go when stuff finally flushed through.
I could really feel there was some major detoxing going on, bc i was a bit dizzy and sweaty, but afterwards i felt quite relieved. I did not get that abundance of energy that some people talk about, more like the way i feel after a bad cramp: sleepy, relieved and a emotionally drained.
The therapist said she could see i was doing a healthy diet, that i chewed my food well (yay! mission accomplished!!) and that i didn't have a lot of gas, and i thank raw foods for all of this.
Now i still feel some tension around my right hip bone, but hopefully it will be gone tomorrow.
Peace
