A Little of This; A Little of That

Fat to Fit? Getting walking!

Rating: 2 votes, 5.00 average.
O.k., got my new pedometer. I think I have it set up right now yet, if not, close enough. Decided to do the 10,000 steps thing just to see what happens. I love experimenting.

So, came home about 7:30 from a book signing last night and saw that I had over 2000 steps to go. Crap! Do I REALLY want to do that? Well, yeah! That's the commitment I made, at least for the time being, sooooo, got to walking! I ended up with recorded 10, 255 steps. The reason I say "recorded" is that, I tend to walk around nekkid here and there's no place to put Ped (it's now got a name) so, it just hangs around resting while I'm walking.

Now, 10,000 steps is not THAT difficult, it just takes focus and awareness and making the choice to do it and the commitment. I read that 10,000 steps is about 5 miles depending on one's stride, of course. Ped says 3.8 miles. That doesn't seem like much.

It's already 9 a.m. I got up late because I went to sleep around 3 (late being 6:15 or so), then wanted to chat with my cousin about why she didn't inform me of my brother's death 3 months ago .

Glad the sky is overcast because I'm more likely to get out and walk when it is soooo, that's what I'm going to do AFTER I set up for our next edition of Let's Talk Raw.

Much of the morning AFTER my walk will be spent on getting stuff together to head out to Raw Spirit Festival on Wed. We've got a motorhome rented so He and I will go out, pick it up; set it up and enjoy the evening at the campground. On Thursday we'll set up my booth and hang out some more (and get in my 10,000 steps!) I need to find what trails, etc. are near there. Friday, the festival starts so I'll be sure to get much of my walking in ahead of time.

That's it for now!

Yuh! me too. Means I have to be other peoples' idea of nice to 3 other people when I've been "nice" all day. Okayyyy! I'm kidding! (sorta)

Methinks I'll need a vacation after. Lucky for us, we've been invited to a private farm in a small town in Nev. where raw food will be prepared daily. Gonna LOVE that.
