Hump Day

Rate this Entry
Yesterday was my day with the nieces. Both of them are sick. My brother is trying to teach them responsibility, or so he says, and let them go out in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops in 40 degree weather. When I asked him why his answer was they are old enough to know better. This is the same brother who let the 11 yr old who is border line diabetic chose her own dinner (which was a carmel dessert), let her attempt to cook it unsupervised and set things in the kitchen on fire. Sickness though is a good attitude adjuster though- both of them did not feel good so there were no arguements about dinner.

Staffing agency called and we are looking at Monday being the possible start date, they are waiting now for the company to get back to them. This is good news since the company my hubby employer said yesterday that business is still way down so now they are making people take vacation days off, if they don't have the vacation time then they will go without pay for the days. He has already taken a cut in pay and hours, he has a months vacation so we are not worried there however it does not look good for a company to be taking this stand to try and stay in business (they have already had 4 different lay offs since November). They also increased our part paid in on benefits.

Yesterday I did work out for 35 minutes - Firm DVD and felt really good afterward.

Food Choices:

Pinepapple, Orange, Strawberry juice with some MSM added to it (my hair is still falling out)

Smoothie with 1 young coconut, 1 bananna and maca

4 cups of green juice (celery, cucumbers, romaine lettuce, little bit of ginger and little bit of pink sea salt for iron and minerals since the time of month is coming soon and I feel like I am draggin)

That's good news about the job. :) I know you probably shared it before. But, where is your sister? I feel for you with those kids. My goodness you really are the only Adult around.

I caught up on your last few entries. You have paid your dues, girl. Time to take care of Melissa! :)

    Jenifae:
My sister lives about 50 miles from us. Her kids have lived with my parents since they were born. Let's just say that both of my siblings live in their own worlds many times.

    Knitster:
I have paid more than my dues but that is the story of my life. I always put others before myself ...I am not sure how to change that one. I think getting out of the house and working again is going to help my mind set - sure will take some of the worry off.

How frustrating your brother's choice must be for you! Children need guidance. We are not supposed to purposely let them hurt themselves to "teach them a lesson". Good grief. /parenting rant. :O

Sorry about your hair . I hope it improves soon (((hugs)))
