Weaning off the coffee

Rate this Entry
For a while there, I wouldn't think of having coffee. Agh! Then, slowly, but surely...two cups a day. I lied to myself by saying, "I use soy milk and organic sugar." Ridiculous I know, but it's what I do.

This morning I woke and had my two cups of coffee, but with NO sugar and maybe a drizzle of the soy milk. I'm going to try this week and finish off this last bag of starbucks....moving to completely black, one cup...1/2 cup...then none again.

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of pineapple Woohoo! Raw!
I'm on my way out for a walk before I shower. It will feel great to sweat! LOL Who thought I would say that!?!?!? But it will. It feels good to do something great for your body and there is nothing greater than getting that heart pumping!

Lunch: Spinach Salad with Raw Dressing topped with smoked alaskan salmon (not raw, but healthy. Once it's out of the house I won't be purchasing it again.)
Green Apple
Dinner: Mixed Veggie Plate with yogurt/blue cheese dip

Snack: Almonds & Raisins

That's my planned menu for today.

My walk will be for at least an hour today...My goal is actually two hours. At the height of my 100% raw eating, I was walking 4 hours a day. Two in the morning and two at night. I'm trying to get back to at least half that. ;)

Goals are great to have to inspire me. If I don't succeed....I just keep trying! I'm worth it. (((HUGS))) So are you!

I heartily support you in the walking. I love my morning walk with doggie. I walk through parks and around a lagoon full of birds. I feel so lucky to live near decent scenery!

And the coffee? It's my one hold out. One cup a day...but I will join the non-coffee drinkers someday!

One hour behind me this morning! It was a lovely walk all around and up into a beautiful neighborhood and around our own town walk. I agree having a place that has beautiful scenery is such a blessing!
One step at a time! Thanks for the encouragement!
