Jenifae's Raw Journey

Easter Day was Yesterday..........

Rate this Entry
I'm amazed at how well I did yesterday. I woke up feeling good. I didn't have time to work out as when going to my Son's he is 3 hours away. So, I have to get all the animals set up for us being gone all day. I usually feed the horses 4 times a day. So, it's a long day and we don't have our backyard finished yet so, they're in the house. Needless to say we can't be gone for more then 12 hours. That's why I like when they can come here. Anyhow, a little long winded on just that.

I got my Coleslaw, Green Smoothie, Apples, Dried Fruit, and my GD's Easter Baskets all packed. I packed some sprouted almonds, too. Thinking - "Just in case" That's like a Drug Addict bringing a syringe "just in case". A total set up for relapse.

So, while preparing everything and making my smoothie I nibbled a little bit on Mango and dried fruit. Not much at all. I took 2 gulps of the Green Smoothie before packing and off we went.

Before, picking up my Mom we stopped at Starbucks. I was debating Soy Mocha vs Tea. I thought: (another grand one) "It's Easter". So, Soy Mocha won. It was sooooooooooooooo Yummy! I have to be honest. I sipped on it and savored it. I am usually a gulper.

After, fighting traffic almost all the way there my younger son called & they called him into work. Yes, I said work. He got a JOB! Doing what he LOVES - Tattoos! So, we stopped at his shop. The couple that own it are really nice and have taken Rob in like family. They are very nice. Not the typical. Very family oriented. While visiting Rob I was so hungry I ate an apple.

Off to Jay's house. We got there and the Violet was already Chocolated out! They already had their Easter Egg Hunt but, he was still cooking Hamburgers & Fries for everyone. I pulled out the coleslaw and DH & my Mom were the only ones who ate it. But, they loved so....... I pulled out my Green Smoothie and drank the whole thing down and then snacked on the dried fruit I made -Yum! While they chowed down Hamburgers and Fries. Hamburgers never bother me but, I was excited that the French Fries didn't even phase me.

The girls we so so cute. Ariel is still just a "Wee Chubby Little Baby" But, Violet sure enjoyed the basket I got her. She kept taking the chocolates out of the plastic eggs and back in them. She was so busy reorganizing. It was so cute. She was so tired. She was fighting it off and falling asleep while sitting next to Daddy and then CurPlunk - Out like a Light! hehehe!

It was a nice time. We could only spend like 3-4 hours there and then back in the traffic jam. Dropped my Mom off and he got Drive thru and I pulled out an Apple and Oh - there's the almonds. Needless to say I ate a little over a handful. Here's what I learned from that and the Coffee. The almonds did not feel as satifying as especially Fruit and GS's do. Last night I tossed and turned and was jumping out of my body and itchy from the coffee. I told DH to remind of that the next time I think a Soy Mocha sounds yummy!

Sorry I wrote a book...........I'm dragging today too. Hung over from the Yummy Backstabbing Soy Mocha. LOL!

I'm glad you had a good time, and happy that you shared it with us, especially with pics. What a bunch of cuties, all three of you ladies.

That's nice your Mom went after all. I hope you got to spend some good time with her during the drive.

Love the label you put on the Soy Mocha. YUMMY BACKSTABBING SOY MOCHA!!! With a name like that it might be hard to forget. If you decide to brave the consequences and enjoy one, at least you will be making the decision with awareness. No surprises later.

    :)

Great post and pix. Sounds like you had a wonderful day.

I am happy you didn't beat yourself up over the soy mocha. I think that is one of your biggest victories, jen. yay!!!

    Wonderfool Thank you!

Knitster You just made me laugh! :) It would probably be wise to write that on bright paper or ink and put that in my car for the future. ;) Yes, I had a nice travel time with my Mom. She was good for the most part except when she tried to engage DH into a political debate which is more of her bashing if you're not in agreement. I was so proud of him for sticking up for himself and saying: "I don't disrespect you and I would like you to not disrespect me. We are intitled to our ideas and beliefs." WOW! That's HUGE for him. I stayed out of it. Except for agreeing that "America is the Land of the Free. Which means to our opinions also."

Rawlight Awwwwwwwwwwh, thank you so much! You are right. I'm a bit tired today from it but, trying to remember and back on track.

Awww, love the pics! Your granddaughters are so cute, and you don't look old enough to be a grandmother! (I have no kids or grandkids, but I'm plenty old enough for them!) It's great to "see" you. I'll have to figure out how to take and post some of my own pics later, when I have more time.

Sounds like those horses keep you really busy. did I read it right that they're in your house?! (I'm just a city girl who's allergic to them, so what do I know?)

Awareness and acceptance are key. You're doing great!

Bumbleberry, Awwwwwh, Thanks! :) Arent' they just Adorable? Violet - the older one reminds me of what my pictures look like at that age. I would love to some some of your photos. :)

Hehehe, No........My horses don't live in my house. But, they live on my Property just outside my Front door. I can look out the window at them anytime I want to. I love it. It's too bad you're allergic. They are awesome creatures.

Rawchic, Thanks :) It's so good to see you back. You've been busy at work getting caught up, havent' ya? :)

Jen, I just had a good giggle at the idea of your horses living in your house (it's late...I must be tired!). Yeah, I resent my allergy/asthma. I only got to ride a horse once (that's when I discovered I was allergic). It was an amazing experience. I'd have loved to get to make friends with a horse or two. I also adore cats, and am allergic to them as well. So I have to make do with having distant (outdoor) relationships with the neighborhood cats.

I have a flower garden right outside my front window. Not quit as exciting as horses, but I've come to see plants as living beings, too.
