Together We CAN!!! DAY 2

Hey Everyone!!!

We had a GREAT day today!!! The "WE" includes myself and RAWSugarGal along with our Friend Ammie and her Mom (who has been RAW/Vegan for 5 years now!!!) They all so encouraging to me!!! We had a FABULOUS LUNCH at my house!!! We were sampling different RAW dishes!!! Here's the menu:

RAW Lasagne
Walnut Pate w/Onion Bread
Corn Tortillas
Nori Rolls (with Jicama)
Salad
French Toast w/Fruit
RAW Cheesecake
Mocca Dessert


Ammie made her Onion Bread really thin, which I think I like better than mine! Hers dehydrated in 1/2 the time it usually takes and tasted just as good.

Also, the Pate was GREAT and I can see the benefits of using the Vitamix because it was incredibly creamy...which mine usually isn't.

I love the recipe in Raw Food/Real World that uses Jicama in the Nori Rolls instead of Califlower.

The French Toast was also a hit...I had made it before, but not for my Friends. I ate 2 slices of it!!!

The Desserts were wonderful also! I am still SOOO FULLLL!!!

...AWWWW....(STRETCHING)... Think I'll go spend some time in my "office" now!!!!

    Yummy looking food! I really need to get back into uncooking. I'm happy with my big salads & fruits & smoothies, but I do miss going to raw restaurants. That cheesecake looks fabulous!

    I have no idea how to visit a blog so I think this is it! Here is the recipe for the carrot soup. If you do not have a good blender then you will have to strain the carrot pulp off and use it to make bread or something. I just have a magic bullet I have been trying to kill for about 3 years and it just will not die! Anyway here it is. The curry carrot soup recipe.
    It did not start out with the curry flabor. I needed something with some flavor so I threw some in it. Not sure if curry powder is raw.

    3 carrots blended (strain if you have a cheap blender like me)
    1/4 avocado
    little bit of spring onion
    enough water to get things moving (I like it thick)
    1 dash of curry
    Top with sunflower seeds, green peppers, zesty sprout mix and tomato.
