Smoothie Fast - Day 2

It was an easy smoothie day. Keeping it simple. Greens and fruits only.

Physically and mentally I feel off center, tired, a slight headache, and unable to concentrate. That could be from the change of diet, it could also be caused by lack of sleep and tension over finishing our taxes. Those two things I can fix tommorrow. If it is caused by the change of diet I will have to ride it out. Doesn't matter how I feel. It is not going to interfere with my determination to stay with the cleanse.

Today's Green Smoothies:

1) mango, pineapple, banana, strawberries, rainbow chard, kale, carrot tops

2) bananas, strawberries, romaine

3) honeydew melon, bunch of mint leaves

I ate some of the fruit while preparing it. I have to make sure it's good before it goes in the blender. ;) I drank a cup of milk thistle tea this afternoon. And put a few bits of Celtic Sea Salt under my tongue. I remember Veganforlife writing how salt helped her headache at the beginning of her smoothie fast. I don't know if it helped me, but I can say that salt has never tasted so good. I also ate a couple tangerines late in the evening. I'm having a cup of chamomile & lavendar tea right now.

That's all. I'm looking forward to another day of smoothies tomorrow. And apples. I'm craving apples. :)

    I love the new picture - you look so beautiful! I thought of you and Jen this morning as I was staring down my young coconut, maca, banana smoothie.

    Do you do Yoga at all? I find that when I am stressing doing a half hour of Yoga really helps relieve stress, feel more centered and calm.

    Wow! You are so doing Great Knitster! :) Woo=Hoo! I LOVE your Determination...........I feel it's rubbing off on me a little bit.

    I hope your headache has subsided a bit today. I feel pretty good this morning. :) I am going to work on decreasing my mono fruits and drink drink drink.....Green Smoothies and Juices, of course. ;) hehehehe!

    Melissa, your smoothie sounds divine. I think I will have to try that.

    Thank you, Melissa. I don't do Yoga. It is on my to do list, I have books and DVDs. My determination is sadly lacking there. I have been doing self-relaxation and breathing techniques a couple times a day now. Yoga may not be far off. Your suggestion brings me one step closer.

    Jen, Thanks for all your support. I am doing a lot better this morning. Headache is gone. My neck is still tense and creaky, but still better. I have high hopes for this cleanse. I've already lost 3 pounds of something. I doubt it was fat, I haven't been active at all. Whatever it was I'm sure I didn't want it. :)

    NO, Thank You! I do much better with you as my Buddy that's for sure. :) I lost 3lbs too! WOw! And I"m not depriving myself at all. Now, that's good. :)
