Smoothie Fast - Day 2
It was an easy smoothie day. Keeping it simple. Greens and fruits only.
Physically and mentally I feel off center, tired, a slight headache, and unable to concentrate. That could be from the change of diet, it could also be caused by lack of sleep and tension over finishing our taxes. Those two things I can fix tommorrow. If it is caused by the change of diet I will have to ride it out. Doesn't matter how I feel. It is not going to interfere with my determination to stay with the cleanse.
Today's Green Smoothies:
1) mango, pineapple, banana, strawberries, rainbow chard, kale, carrot tops
2) bananas, strawberries, romaine
3) honeydew melon, bunch of mint leaves
I ate some of the fruit while preparing it. I have to make sure it's good before it goes in the blender. ;) I drank a cup of milk thistle tea this afternoon. And put a few bits of Celtic Sea Salt under my tongue. I remember Veganforlife writing how salt helped her headache at the beginning of her smoothie fast. I don't know if it helped me, but I can say that salt has never tasted so good. I also ate a couple tangerines late in the evening. I'm having a cup of chamomile & lavendar tea right now.
That's all. I'm looking forward to another day of smoothies tomorrow. And apples. I'm craving apples. :)
