Has it really been almost 100 days? Wow, that is crazy!
This weekend I've had a few cravings. It wasn't anything random, just when I was feeding DH and DS9. They had pizza and mozzarella sticks Friday night, then last night DS9 had nachos at his ball game. It all smelled SO good. I decided to make some spinach dip though and stuff some tomatoes with it. It was after dark and I normally don't eat then but I really wanted something.
I'm really irritated that my food processor seems to be on the fritz. I just got it for Christmas, used it a lot in the beginning but am only using sporadically now that I've gotten my BlendTec. I like the consistency of the spinach dip better in the food processor though but when I went to use it last night it just wouldn't come on. I went to the website and found that a lot of other people seemed to have the same problem with that model. Uggh. I have the Kenmore Elite.
So, today after church I think I'll come home and jump on the trampoline. I want to try out the little one (though I think I've already made up my mind that I want him to exchange it) but then I want to get out on the big one again too. I had SO much fun jumping outside.
Last night was DS9's first baseball game of the season. It was SO cold and windy out. I was FREEZING. The amazing thing though was that my dad and step-mom actually came to his game. He's been playing for 5 yrs. now and, while they live only 2 miles down the road from us, they haven't come to a single game until last night. I was disappointed in the way DS9 acted though. He just didn't seem thrilled that they were there and hardly said a word to them. He was cold, tired and hungry after the game; I know that, but he didn't really make any effort at all. I talked to him afterward and he said that he thought he was okay. I think I just thought he would be kind of over the top happy with them to make them want to come back again. Honestly, I can see why he'd be kind of ambivalent though, they just don't make an effort to be a part of his life and when they do, they're just not responsible people. :::shrugs:::
Wednesday I'm going on a field trip with DS's class. It's an hour away on a bumpy yellow school bus so I'll dry fast for most of that day. So not looking forward to it at all. I'm hoping I get to sit with Nick though, we just have SO much fun together. Then Thursday is a work day. My MIL is coming up to have lunch with DS9 and I at school. She'll take him home afterward and bring him back on Tuesday. At first I was miffed that he would miss Easter at home but then I figured, it's really no big deal. I've got a few Netflix lined up to get and watch for the weekend he'll be gone. Anyone have any good movie suggestions?
