Going Raw...again
I was first raw when I was pregnant with my duaghter (who is now 4). It was most definitly the best pregnancy EVER. Much better than when I was pregnant with my son (who is 8).
I don't know why I stopped. I do know that I have never felt that good while eating cooked.
I've gone back and forth with being raw for a while now. 2 days ago a friend of mine lent me Allissa Cohen's book. The recipes look so much better than the ones I made using other uncookbooks. Even better than what I found on goneraw.com
Lately I hate food. It makes me feel so sick. Sometimes I even get serious pain in my intestines because of cooked foods. Raw veggies are the only foods that don't bother me. The doctors don't know what's wrong. My gastro told me not to eat raw veggies or nuts. I explained to him that those were all I could eat without pain. He shrugged and said that was unusual.
I know, without a doubt, that raw foods will make me feel healthy once again. And this time I vow to stick with it.
My plan...if I find myself getting bored then I'll try something new. I'll keep raw snacks (like crackers or deserts) around so I have something to munch on when I start wanting unhealthy foods. etc.
I also want to bring my children raw. My daughter won't be a problem. She is mostly raw already by her own volition. My son, however, will be more difficult.
While I'm going 100% raw right off the bat..I won't expect my children to. I'll prepare them raw dishes starting once a week and gradually becomming more so. Ease them into it...sort of.
