foods that are "super"
I've heard of the so called "superfoods"....stuff like spirlina, chlorella, chia, hemp protein, and all those special expensive sweeteners like stevia, agave, lucuma, & yacon.
But let me think here...I stopped eating certain foods because they were not so good for me in 1 way or another. So I started eating more fruits & veggies (u would be surprised how many weeks I had gone years before without ever eating them....5 a day~HA! miracle if I had 5 a week)
So anyways to me..real food comes out of a garden somewhere. So unless spirlina & lucuma is grown in someone's backyard without chemicals sprayed all over them..and then dried and ground up into powder with absolutely NOTHING added, then I can't see how it would be all that good or necessary.
Growing up my dad loved gardening, and maybe he was a bit ahead of his time but he hated the words "artificial flavoring" & "artificial coloring" on food labels.
So when I think of foods that make me feel super..images of avocados, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, oranges, wild fresh berries, and melons pop into my head. They are the foods that I can't wait to buy again when I have extra money. They are the foods that fulfill any cravings I have for sweet things or crunchy things (yes I get cravings to just crunch on something)
If I spent a whole day now with just those 7 items, I would call it a super day.
