Ok, so I messed up the last apple fast. I tried another one again today, but ended up falling of the bandwagon in favour of chocolate easter eggs...opps. I think an apple fast might be a bit of a hard way to start, especially as I have work and study committments all the time.

I've got a question though- how come I feel really good/happy if I only eat apples all day and then the second I eat something SAD, I feel all suicidal and depressed like I usually do? The bad feelings come back so quickly!

Hey...I think your body is trying to tell you something. RAW food makes you feel good!!! I feel the same way! When I eat something SAD, I feel "SAD"!!! And, I feel guilty because I KNOW that it's a bad food choice that I've made. Listen to your body... Personally for me, an apple fast would be too much sugar...which is probably why you went for the choc eggs...you're on a sugar high... But, I think that you do see the benefits of RAW... TIP: Get Alissa's book if you haven't already! Lots of recipes and good info in there!!! :)

(((HUGS))) I know depression all too well. I'm definitely one of those people when I get depressed/anxious, my diet is affected. Have you ever tried keeping a personal journal of the things you eat, how they make you feel and the stresses in your life? That's what I'm doing now and it has helped me a little bit.

Ditto to Renees comment....food can make us feel one way or another and we get to choose.

I have experienced this as well.

So I ask myself, when about to eat SAD, "what do you want for your health and your life Bette"?

This gets better as you choose one raw food after another.

SAD brings sad. We are here for you ok?
