Ummmm, I have a confession.

I had/have been doing pretty good, considering this is my first solid attempt at going raw. BUT, the other day I broke down and I ate two bagels and went out for chinese food where I had rice and potatoes. I am trying not to be disspointed in myself but at the same time I feel like I am floundering and struggling. I know, I know, I am new. Does anyone else who is new to this world feel that way? I am sure their must be. Anyway, I am getting back on track and yesterday had an all fruit day as I was feeling very much in the mood for something sweet. I woke up this morning with a neck so sore that I can barely turn it or bend it. Maybe I slept wrong? Anyway, I am starting again and am all in for the rest of April and for the May challenge. And the exciting thing is I found this group online of local vegetarians and vegans who meetup every couple of weeks, and some of them are raw, so maybe they can offer words of encouragement locally! Hope everyone is well.

Magglepie... I was the queen of beating myself up when I fell off the raw wagon. Then I realized how great I was for even attemping raw. It's great that you're jumping right back on that wagon. Don't beat yourself up. Recognize all the days you HAVE been raw... instead of not. Congrats on getting right back to it!

Each raw day is a win!!!! Glad you got so easy back on tracks!!:) Keep it up! And btw... I can tell you I am not new to raw...I "started" 5 years ago... and I am still falling off sometimes... though the raw phases become longer and longer!
So just take it easy and keep going:)

Totally been there, done that (for example, yesterday!) I woke up today thinking i am going do do 100% raw today. I had a green smoothie for breakfast and 2 hours later, I had a bowl of corn flakes w/ rice milk... So, I understand what you're going through b/c I'm going through it right along side of you!

I am taking it one bite at a time... ;) Good luck to you!

I agree with all three of the comments here - so you had something different to eat -- okay - doesn't mean you are no longer a Rawbie -- we'll never abandon you to battle SAD alone!! (hahaha!! ) Cuz see - you're right back on track! So - onward and upward - have a RAWsome weekend! Remember - one day at a time - but I like what was said on the post -- ONE BITE AT A TIME!!

Hey-did that today. I Remember this-Ann Wigmore said in her book--one meal does not define you.:) I read once that before you quit smoking, you should develop your new habits before stopping the old habits. Find things that replace the old one. If you crave bagels, find something raw that you adore and when you are totally in love with it then you will more readily let go of the old habit. Stay strong. You are doing great! This is not a setback-it's a way to learn.
