Day 66
So, I started thinking, there is no possible explanation for the lack of weight loss besides muscle mass. I took a good look at what I've been eating and, on paper it doesn't look like that much. I'm not starving myself, I'm not restricting any foods (except that I don't eat in the evenings) and I'm eating when I'm hungry. Apparently I'm just going through a point where I don't seem to need as much food energy. I'm exercising quite a bit almost everyday with weight bearing activities. It only makes sense that I would be gaining muscle mass. Do I like that the scale isn't moving? No, not at all. However, in the long run it's a good thing to be gaining muscle. My self worth is not determined by a number on the scale. My overall health is not determined by a number on the scale. Everyday I'm feeling better and stronger and more alive.
All is well!
Exercise today:
15 min. primal play (rope swinging, kettlebell moves w/weights, knee lifts, skipping, crunches etc.)
30 push-ups going up the stairs
60 min. freestyle indoor walking (walking fast in place, step aerobics, side stepping etc.)
Food today:
3/4 of a pineapple (I should have stopped at 1/2 though, my tongue is all tingly now)
