Pituitary Gland- male height

Rate this Entry
My son is really short for his age and so is one of his friends. The other day he was telling me that his friend went to the doctor and that he was tested and the results had to do with his pituitary gland and that is what the DR said was the reason why he wasn't growing tall. My son is 15 and only about 5 ft does anyone have an advice of foods to eat to help a young boy grow tall???? Thanks so much!

i've read that exercise like rebounding and jumping jacks is supposed to help growing kids reach their full height...but i don't know anything about a gland-type problem. a raw food diet could probably help alot though; definitely worth a try. good luck!

Hi. I had pituitary failure this past year. I'm an ND so thought there must be a way to repair with food, herbs, etc. I haven't found anything except HGH as an injectable Rx. It has saved my life. Now I am eating differently to strengthen my body and repair the damage from a lack of GH for too many years. I am rebuilding muscle, including heart muscle, new tissue, brain connections. It is a serious deficiency. Has your son hit his head? A high percentage of people with even minor head injuries have been found to have pituitary damage.
Your son is lucky you are so aware. My family was clueless.
