Second day - "Trial Raw"
I happened upon this website two days ago. For a few weeks now I've been getting fresh organic produce from a delivery service and havent really used it to its full potential until now. In the beginning I thought I would have to cook everything and it would be a chore. But now that I know a lot about raw diets, I'm thinking this could work for me. I started yesterday with an apple in the morning, a green smoothie as a snack, many fruit leathers and a "raw revolution" bar that i bought at whole foods. For lunch/dinner (i had class for a big chunk of the day) I had a salad made of lettuce, various sprouts, tomatoes and lemon dressing. The only time I didnt eat raw was in the morning when I had coffee and soy milk. I don't plan on ditching the coffee but I think I'll change to almond milk. I think after a few weeks I'll be ready to do a raw challenge of sorts, if no one cares that I'm drinking coffee. I know its all about commitment but eating raw in the first place is a huge commitment for me. So one day I'll be able to lose the coffee too. I'm also not smoking cigarettes or drinking as much alcohol as I do which is a big step. I want to feel good! And that's what this is all about, right? Now today I've had an apple dipped in fresh ground peanut butter which I guess isn't raw because I'm assuming those peanuts were roasted first, but still its not packaged or has any additives. Plus I want to eat up all the things in my fridge before i go 100% (err, according to my standards that is).
