Preparing for a Fast/Feast w/Knitster!

Rate this Entry
Okay, so today I am focusing on preparing myself for an upcoming fast/feast w/Knitster.

So, here's my plan:

Today (Tues) and Tomorrow (Wed) will be light eating of salads and fruit .... I am going to focus on only eating 3 meals B, L, & D and no snacking inbetween.

If I have any nuts it will be on my salads and no more then a TBLS. If I absolutely have to have a snack it will only be 1 small apple and a 1/2 grapefruit.

Then on Thursday, Friday, and Satuday I will skip Breakfast........just lemon water and have a Green Smoothie for lunch and another for Dinner or a small salad........no snacking at all.

So, on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I will only do Juices and Green Smoothies. That will be my fast.

Then after that I will return back to eating the same way but, in reverse! :)

I also plan on working out everyday and keeping myself busy by working with the animals-horses and cleaning out my closets.

Please - Pray for me!

I am going to do my Affirmations and Positive thinking on I can do this. It's only 3 days of no eating and the other light eating part is only 6 days........

Then I'm hoping to be back on a better eating track with no binge-eating or mindless eating.

I like your plan! You're going to do great - I have confidence in you :)
One tip that helped me - whenever I was about to break, I would journal about it first. I would tell myself, "okay, I can eat that, but first I have to write about it." By the time I wrote out the reasons I wanted the food, I realized the reasons were useless and I didn't really want the food.

I am rooting for you. Lots of times it is mind over matter for me and the eating thing when I am on a fast. I like to pull out my crafting and keep my mind busy so that way there is less idle time to be tempted. Lots of water too helps toxins leave and make you feel full.

Great suggestion - Rawchic! So far so good. I'm having my lunch at 3pm. This morning I had a Banana at 10am. I did have 1 baby carrot in between and said "Hey what are you doing?" I thought I was going to make lunch and decided to wait. I need not snack while preparing my food also.
I'm going to make some modifications to my plan in second here.
I'm waiting for the Vet to get here at 4pm. My poor Bridget is itchy and she may have allergies.......is what the Vet thinks. I think she has yeast/fungus. So, she's going to take a sample of skin and test her.

Yes, Melissa. I need to have projects. I'm planning on working out through out and I can start organizing my closets finally and maybe start painting the house if we can afford some paint. ;) hehehe

I'm really looking forward to doing this together. I'm convinced it is the right thing at the right time and we will both get everything we are looking for from it. It has taken a long time to get here. I can feel success at hand.

    How is poor Bridget tonight?

Me too - Knitster! I did good today. How did you do? I am really thinking, talking, and writing about it.

My sweet Bridget did really well. It will take a week to get the biopsy back and find out what is going on with her. The Vet will want to do traditional medicine and I don't like that but, don't have an alternative at this point.
