I'm new here!
I have been between 75% - 80% raw for about 4 years now. For the past 2 years my whole family would do a cleansing fast for 10 days then would follow up with 20 days of 100% raw foods. Except for my husband,Todd, the kids and I would return to our cooked food. This time, I would like it to be different with me so I am taking the "30 day raw challenge" in 10 day increments. The old adage is true, "Mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter!" If we could forget that cooked food exists, we would enjoy a raw food diet. More importantly, I like the Bible promise: "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Desiring to eat more raw foods is not just so that I can lose weight (though I have). Its not just so that I can think clearer (though I am), or even all the other great benefits one can experience being a raw foodist. I desire to eat this way so that I can give honor to Jesus Christ, my Creator and friend. I want to be the best that I can be through the grace of Christ so that you and others I meet will see the lovely Jesus in me. I have discovered some great recipes, thanks to the many raw foodists who are so willing to share. Last night for dinner we had raw tacos. Mmm Mmm Mmm! --that was finger lickin good! I am luvin not being a slave to the kitchen. What will be for dinner today?? Hmmm, it will be fun planning. God bless! :)
