1 31 2009 = 16!
why does my brain work in numbers. i am always adding up the numbers....i'll have to study numerology to see why. I am getting into astrology lately. I have always been interested in it, but now i am getting down and studyng! it is so fascinating! i'll have to see if there are any astrology threads here.
So, I am going to be honest. I have been on the raw path since 1996. I was vegan since 1994 and veg since 1991. I always wanted to be veg though I remember as an eight year old, I would cry when served "animals". I got over that though, and just ate the food my family prepared for me, but it never felt right.
Feelings. going with the feeling. that is what i just learned in my astrology lesson of the last hour. my moon is in leo in the 10th house. so that is bringing feeling into my work place, and also i would like to be in a public position (leo) in the limelight, so to speak.
And the moon helps us to fulfill our purpose - the sun. my sun is in scorpio in the first house - scorpio....so my purpose is to transform, deep feeling, etc 1st house is me, my personality the self i show the world,
this is my astrology blog!:)
i feel i have not been channeling the sun energy, as i have felt so lost on my path, but i am discovering it. i used to be an actress. that makes sense astrologically, but now i see that my current path as a healer can fit too.
so i will segue back into raw now. ...
I have been raw since 1996; however it has been a see-saw raw. i have always been veg, mostly vegan, when i go cooked, but it is not a healthy way mentally. i was always feeling guilt when i ate cooked, and even when i got over the guilt part, t was never balanced. it always felt like some sort of pizza party "last cooked meal ever" rather than a balanced vegan meal.
the past week i have been following a high raw diet with the addition of ezekiel bread, raw cheese, steamed veggies, and cooked whole grain (like quinoa). i eliminated everything else - especially any sort of sugar, even "raw sugar" "evaporated cane..." etc. only agave, raw honey or brown rice syrup.
i feel great. i am patient with my son. i do not yell at him - if i have a momentary freak out it lasts less than a minute and does not escalate as it used to. i do not feel depressed, as i often did while see-sawing. i feel balanced and even hopeful.
I know it has not been long - a week! whatever! but AMAZING how quickly i see results. Of course it is slightly different than the amazing 100% raw high flow, but i feel this is a good step for me.
interestingly, this is what would be prescribed to balance my vata dosha.
i really like the quinoa, i have to say. and lightly cooked of course,
so i will see if i feel like going into the challenge tomorrow. i may just carry on this path for a few more months. it is still a lot of raw - fruits, juices, green powder, raw treats, etc. i could add more salad - but i am really into lightly steamed kale.
that's enough outta me....time to read about mercury in scorpio in the first house.
i must be doing all of this communicating because we are now out of the mercury retrograde!
astrology is way fun, fascinating, and can answer all our questions about everything:)
