Breakfast: Smoothie - carrot and apple juice blended with baby spinach

Snack: couple of nuts, a tiny handful of sunflower seeds, a few cheezy kale chips (Had to test to see if they were done dehydrating, they weren't.)

Lunch: Smoothie - Cucumber, spinach, cilantro, 2 T. soaked chia seeds, 1/2 frozen banana. 2 T. green food powder Even though it was 6 hours since the breakfast smoothie I wasn't very hungry. Only drank half of it, about 16 oz.

Snack: Had to test the D food, again. Finished off the cheezy kale chips. This batch was only 3 big dino kale leaves with a little leftover dressing made from sunflower seeds and red pepper.

Took the nuts out of the D and made Cheez-Its. Of course I ate a couple more before processing the cheez-it batter. It's in the D tonight. My husband says I'm stinking up the basement again.

Dinner: Todd's Waldorf Salad - apple, tomato, 1/2 red pepper, 1/4 red onion, 1 small avocado, 1 T. olive oil, cayenne Very nice combo. Quick and easy. Next time use a shallot or spring onion.

Feeling pretty good about this raw day. I've been very mellow and pleasant to be around, much better than yesterday. My daughter is in the kitchen frosting and decorating a chocolate cake. She is using the squeeze bags and 3 different colors frosting. I'm not going to go in and look at it until she is done. That way I won't be tempted to interfere with advice. She wanted to help me create a raw cake for myself but it's getting too late for that. I'm kinda fighting the urge to make a little cacao treat. But I am fighting it. I'm not hungry and there is always tomorrow.

Lazy....as in no exercise today. Oh well, what was that about tomorrow...?

I sure am using the sarcastic smiley a lot tonight. Must be part of that mellow feeling.

Stats: Blood Pressure looking good, 102/79
Weight: Not checking, don't care
Food: fat 51% (81 grams), carbs 41% (147 grams), Protein 8% (35 grams), fiber 39 grams.
Nutrient levels: at about 75% for protein, calcium, niacin, and zinc, rest are off the chart.

For the record, I'm not that serious about a juice/smoothie fast right now, obviously. I'm putting it on my calendar for Feb 8-10. Full moon is Feb 9. I read somewhere this is a good time to do detox. Sounds good to me. That gives me another 2 weeks to eat whatever I want. Raw of course. Did I need to say that?

Wow, what are really good food day. You are eating so light and fresh.
I"m curious about your spinach, cucumber, cilantro GS....is it good?

Hi Jen, It wasn't so good, that's why I added the banana. Cucumbers make a better juice than a smoothie.

WARNING: THIS PICTURE IS NOT RAW! VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK.
It's my daughter's chocolate cake. Glad I didn't interfere. Maybe I can convince her to frame it instead of eating it.

I'm thinking I should delete this, but there it is. This is what I have to deal with. I used to decorate fancy cakes for her. I taught her it was fun! Now that I'm not doing it anymore she wants to make her own. She still wants to make me a raw cacao cake tomorrow. I'm going to help her. But no food coloring, please!

I was wondering about that. Thanks for letting me know. I still haven't been into the green juice just yet.

:) Your daughter is so Creative. Like Mother like Daughter, huh? How cute. I love it. She even decorated the knives. Hehehehehe :)

I can't wait to see your cake!

Even though the cake is not raw it is really pretty to look at, I am glad you did not delete the photo- thank you for sharing it.

Your blogs make me laugh sometimes - I love your point of views.

    Have a great day!

Thanks Jen and Melissa. I'm glad you said that. It's very strange and conflicted to feel proud and guilty at the same time about the same thing. I didn't nag her about the unhealthy cake, she knows what I think about that. I did talk with her about the food coloring while she was whipping up the frosting. Otherwise she would have used even more! She was so disgusted that her lips turned blue from it. Hmmm, I sympathized and held back the "I told you so". ;)

that's so cool that she wants you to make a raw cake. shows that she's at least interested in it.
that's funny about the food coloring!
