I'm failing on drinking green smoothies.
Why is that, when I know they are "good" for me & they are fast & easy. Not to mention, when I've done them many a time before.
Because quite honestly, I don't like them.
They always end up tasting the same, or rather "not taste" the same because they have no flavor outside of a monotonous glassy taste. When I try alternating the recipe a little they either taste more generically grass like or so nasty & bitter that it's a challenge to swallow.
The mouth feel is terrible! I've tried more or less liquid but still just don't like it. They're not really a pudding or a juice, they're sort of gloppy. Not appetizing at all.
I don't get that good feeling that I'm always hearing about. But really, I have to admit that I don't get that good feeling when eating raw so smoothies or not aren't going to magically make me feel vibrant, energetic or light like others.
But I am doing pretty good at keeping on just water & juice until early evening, having something small, soft & raw for a meal & then going back to water & juice. It's damned hard (I keep picking up food without realizing) but at least everything tastes good!
And YK what, I'm not going to feel bad about not liking green smoothies either!
