7th & 8th SET OF SMOOTHIES FROM THE 70 SMOOTHIE LIST!

Rate this Entry
Hey Yau'll!!!

Yesterday (7th SET) was a GREAT RAW DAY!!! I made Smoothie #10 and #12... Both were good...familiar tastes. I've made #12 before, and miss the other sweeter fruit in it. #10 was pretty smooth with the pear in it. I only made 1/2 of the recipe and that was quite enough for me. I'm not really crazy about Kale, so using only 1/2 the amount was just fine...not so over-powering. The parsley broke up the "Kale Taste" for me also, so #10 was good.

My favorite is still #2 with the Mint!!!

For Lunch in between Smoothies I had Alissa's Zucchini pasta w/Marinara Sauce (YUMMY) and Not Tuna Pate for the side. I also made Alissa's Flax Crackers for nibbling on today! I just LOVE her Crackers!!! Especially how it smells in the kitchen while they are dehydrating! For Dinner I had the Pate with Salad. I also nibbled on Clementines, Banana, and Strawberries when I felt the need... All in all, a GREAT day I would say!!!

8th SET OF SMOOTHIES FROM THE LIST...
Today, 12/29/08 MON I made Smoothie #17 which is similar to #10, except it has celery in it. It was alright...tasted the same to me...

have you tried using different types of kale? there are quite a few different varieties so you may like one more than another.
I had zucchini pasta yesterday too - yum!

I love Alissa's pasta and marianara - I was craving that last night along with Maraw's pancakes.

You are making fabulous food choices

The kale does have a grassy flavor. I like it juiced with cucumber, but not so much in a smoothie. Lately I've been adding a leaf or two in my spinach/chard smoothies. I'm ready to try 3 leaves and see how that tastes. Still have to try that mint smoothie. Maybe today.
