New Thoughts....

Ok, after just letting myself go for a week, I'm really needing to get back to something healthy. Here in lies the truth about raw foods, if you have ever eaten 100% raw for any length of time, eating any other way...just lacks something.
I have felt horrible, my acne flared up this week and I had to stop myself from making coffee again every morning...after just three days. It's soooooo very easy to fall back into bad comfortable patterns.

I know right now, I can't afford to eat 100%, but I have to try my best, for my own health and sanity. So, this morning I had a soy milk raspberry/banana smoothie for breakfast. I'm thinking lunch will be celery, carrots, a yellow apple and one orange. Dinner will be what everyone else is having, but at least lunch and breakfast will have been very raw.

I'm currently unsure where my food journey is traveling, but it's definitely taking a sharp arc back to the raw path. Wish me luck...I welcome encouragement! ;)

oh my dear friend. we are in this together. I too had to fight the urge to make coffee this morning. I have no idea how I am going to afford raw this time around, but I am determined to try. I really started thinking about it-and in my case, I eat WAY too much-even on raw. That's why it is so expensive. If I ate more reasonable portions I could probably afford it with no prob, ya know?

You have to start where you are and you have such a strong consciousness of what you want and need to do right now. This is a great plan for starting back on your raw journey. I try to practice NOT living in the future. Be happy with the care you are doing for yourself right NOW. Live in the present and don't stress about the future!

Zaphirah, This is so true. I told my hubby, the biggest reason raw works for me...so very well I might add...is that I don't govern how much I eat. If I'm hungry (even emotionally) I eat. Because it's raw, my body can actually cope with the amounts. Sad, but true. I did better yesterday and will keep pressing on, it is such a journey. ;) I too am going to try my best to afford it.
Rawlight, thank you for your inspirational words. They were very soothing to read first thing in the morning.
