This has been unusually snowy weather for the Seattle area this week! I hear of another storm coming before the weekend as well. I'm glad I'm on leave!
Today I'm noticing a slight reduction in my lethargic state. This is great as it means I'm getting the nutrients I need. I stopped taking all my herbal supplements and vitamins for now to see if I would absorb the nutrients. My digestive system has been lacking in this area for years. The naturopathic physician has had me on mega doses of several supplements for quite some time, trying to get the nutrients in me.
Today's conditions and symptoms:
Ear no longer feels like it has fluid
Eyes are watering sometimes
Sinus drainage
Usual muscle and joint soreness
Skin extra dry
Less pain in the torso (inflammation in my organs must have subsided for now)
Lower back pain - low grade
What did I eat today?
Paranil and Colon Cleanse
Water
Juice and banana for breakfast
Pad Thai
Salad with Creamy Italian Herb Dressing
Dates (4), celery and banana ice cream for snacks
Collard Rolls for dinner
Date Nut Torte
Alissa was correct when she stressed in her book to throw away the scale and not count calories. I look at what I ate today and wonder "how many calories did I eat and what will that do to my weight?" At the same time I tell myself, "don't worry about it . . . Alissa said to eat when you are hungry and listen to your body, so it's ok."
Now I'm really beginning to wonder, because I'm answering myself! I've always been warned about this! Hmmmmm. Must be my Raw Angel helping me out. :)
The banana leather turned out more like banana crackers because I ended up going on an errand and they were in the dehydrator too long. The flax seed crackers turned out more like flax seed leather! What a switch! Strike one, try again. I'll munch on the banana crackers anyway as they still taste yummy.
My hubby has been getting a little curious now and I have started asking him if he wants a bite when I make something new. He nearly always tastes the results and loves to critique. He's actually been surprised by several things so far and had to admit that a couple things would be palatable to him on occasion. He is such a SAD eater!
I remember when I was eating cooked food, he would always be puzzled by the fact that I would not each starch with veggies and protein. He's a meat and potatoes kinda guy and always has been. He always has to have his meat, veggies and starch with a meal. Oh well, at least he's considerate enough to keep all the illicit goodies in his 'room' so I won't see or smell them. He does drag them out during the football games though!
All for today . . . . on to day 5.
