Well, I promised to start transferring my journal entries to this blog so everyone can see and comment if they feel so inclined. Here's my first installment:
12/14/2008:
I chose to start the first week of the "Living On Live Food" lifestyle, during a week of vacation. This way I could focus on the changes and have time to get used to making the meals. This day is a Saturday and tomorrow I will begin the diet. I spent most of the day between 3-4 locations, searching for the items on my shopping list and comparing prices. My hubby went with me, the kind soul, and pushed me around in my wheelchair.
I've divided the upcoming year into three sections, so the whole 'weight loss' thing doesn't seem so overwhelming. Geez! Three periods of time within a year - I feel like I'm 'birthing' a child!My first 'trimester' is 12/15/2008 through 3/31/2009. Let's get crackin'.
Personal Goals:
Reduction in aches and pains; ability to walk for more than 2 minutes before I have to sit down; more flexibility in my muscles and joints; more energy
My Plan:
Colon and Liver Cleanse along with the Raw Food Diet
Minimizing the use of non-raw foods to the greatest extent possible
My weight? 370 pounds (Phew!)
I believe I'm going to do what Alissa recommends in the book. I will not check the scale or count calories (I'm no good at it anyway as it bores and frustrates me at the same time).
Physical activity goals:
Stretching; building up my strength with some simple weight training; very basic Yoga to the extent that I am able to do (gradually increasing my stamina, strength and mindset).
That about does it for today. Tomorrow I begin . . .
