Cacao Day

Rate this Entry
First, thanks for all the support you gave me for yesterdays blog!

For breakfast I had a smoothie with lots of grapes and it was really yummy. Then I went to the store... OOHHH wait.. My girlfriend called and said that the lady I was supposed to interview with had the flu so she couldn't make it so they just decided to hire me and skip the interview! So yay!

Anyway, I went to the store and found some cacao beans and some raw carob powder and some cacao nibs. Then I got some more clementines because we were out. I usually buy 5lbs but it was way cheaper to buy two bags of 3lbs so I bought 6 lbs total. Well it turns out my Mom bought me 3 lbs as well. Now we are up to our ears in clementines!! LOL thank goodness Peyton and I eat so much of them.

I made raw brownies, their pretty good in small doses. I think I used to much cacao nut though. They are really rich. For dinner I am having a brownie and a green smoothie; kale, starwberries, and mango. The GS tastes wonderfully but it is kind of chunky and I didn't realize how 'hairy' kale was. I don't know why texture bothers me so much.

Wahoo Raw!! So there is my good focus. The negative was 1 piece of pizza at my moms house. Then 5 taquitos and half a cherry coke. My belly did not like this. But whatever I have had a good raw day.

The coolest thing of the day was probably that at the co-op I found Goji berries. Pretty cool. The are dehydrated or sundried or something so they kind of have a raisin like taste but they have a sweet berry taste as well. I like them.

Congrats on the job! I remember the first time I tried Kale - it was icky to me and I thought to myself how am I going to make it raw if I can not stomach greens. Now I can eat munch on it just like salad. I am still working on loving avocado.

Glad you had a good day

I like your attitude. You aren't beating yourself up for the stuff that wasn't raw. Aren't grapes great in smoothies? I think they are great when adding greens as their sweetness covers up the greens' stronger flavor sometimes -depending on what you choose.
