I stepped on the scale this morning, and I'm down to 167.8. Normally, I'd be happy about this, and I definitely have made progress, BUT I got invited over to a friend's house for dinner!! At first, I almost fell for the old thinking: "Oh, what the heck.....since won't be able to eat raw on Saturday, I may as well eat anything I want today and tomorrow." But, I thought about the photo shoot, and I felt so conflicted inside. I thought about the situation, went into the restroom at work and did some EFT rounds on "OH, forget it! I want to eat anything I want and to hell with this lousy diet!!" I tapped about four or five rounds, and then had to get out of the restroom because I had a client waiting.
I got busy and distracted for a couple of hours, and then I ended up having a late lunch of pineapple and strawberries-because I was naturally, bodily hungry for them!!! Later on for dinner I had two apples and two peaches. As a matter of fact, I threw the rest of one third of a peach away, because I was just done and bored with eating! That never happens to me with cooked food. If I have a plate full of the bad stuff, I leave some behind but I also end up feeling bad about it and eat something unhealthy later. It just begins a cycle. That's how I got heavy in the first place.
Since I will be going to my friend's for dinner, I've already got preplanned what I'm having. I will bring some dry red wine, and have a glass of that, eat salad, stay away from the bread and especially the dessert since that will KILL my stomach later on in the evening, and not have seconds like I used to. I know when I get ready to weigh myself on Sunday morning, there won't be a drop to record, but it's not like I get invited out every day.
I figure this much, four steps forward and one step back. At least I'm getting somewhere, and if I do go up a couple of pounds on the scale, it will come off quickly with raw food eating soon enough. I don't recommend doing that, but the human body is oftentimes way more forgiving than we give credit.
