Taking it one day at a time. Day #3

Rate this Entry
I know I should be writing this tomorrow morning, but I won't have time. I again ate pretty much fruit all day. This morning, I had a strawberry, green grape and pineapple smoothie. For lunch I had a couple of apples and some peaches whipped up into yet another smoothie. Then, this afternoon, I had some more pineapple and strawberries whipped up into another smoothie. I don't know why I'm so smoothie crazy right now. Maybe it's what my body needs. I'll be eating salad tomorrow, and make it a nice big one with lots of red onion and red bell pepper, some good olive oil and a bit of sea salt. I felt kind of tired, like "detox symptom" tired all day long.

I used to be scared of eating salt, thinking it would make me retain water, but using sea salt occasionally doesn't do that to me. It certainly is a change from eating Chinese food or worse yet, French fries and burgers, and having cankles the next morning! It's SO uncomfortable to be that bloated. It's like I can feel the bad salt coming out of my skin in protest.

I went to the HFS and purchased some coconut oil in a 16 oz. jar. As soon as I finish that, I'll get the Tropical Traditions brand online, but for now, I'll just use what I have. Later on this evening, I'll have a couple of tablespoons of that. Yummmmmyyy!! LOVE that stuff!

I took off my acrylic nails last week after wearing them on and off for the last ten years. I still have some bright red polish on my toes, but I want to see how nice just my natural nails will look after all of the ridges from that stupid nail drill grow out. Right now, I'm using Nailtiques protein in order to keep them from breaking at the thin points. My natural nails have always been good. I was so hooked on having my perfect pink and white French manicure with my brightly colored toes. But now, it all seems kind of fakey to me. I'm also contemplating changing my shampoo and conditioner to something much better that doesn't have SLS in it. I'm going to have to go somewhere, like a local spa or something that can give me a really good natural nail manicure and pedicure when these lines grow out!!!

I've been looking at some more at the raw transformations in the form of before and after photos. As I went to the HFS and saw the staff members there I knew, I couldn't help but imagine them seeing me shop quietly sporting my new, slim body, and asking me what I did to achieve that. I'm almost kind of hoping I can give a free lecture in the future telling the audience how I lost a total of 93 pounds, just eating live foods! Heck, I plan on going onto Zazzle.com or another one of those "make your own t-shirt" websites, and making a baby (yes, I'm that optimistic!) tee that says, "I went from a Size 18W to a Size 4 with Raw Foods. And, I'm over 40. Ask me how!"

I know when I reach my goal, a lot of people around me, co-workers, family and friends will be surprised out of their minds when they witness the transformation. I remember last time when I got down to the 150's eating raw foods...even though I was still too heavy people just bombarded me with compliments constantly. I get told I'm beautiful now from friends and acquaintances. I can't even begin to imagine what it will be like when I get down to goal weight.
