Day #4: Grocery shopping!!

Rating: 6 votes, 5.00 average.
I was a little surprised how much money I spent shopping for groceries today. I overidid it a little bit, but since I'm not getting my nails done and gas prices are lower, I don't feel too guilty about it. It started when I saw the raspberries. Just had to buy two packages of those. And then I saw something I haven't indulged in since childhood....pomegranates! They were such a beautiful dark pink/cranberry color I couldn't resist them. Then I had a taste for mushrooms, had to get some parsley, and the tangerines were too yummy-looking to stay away from!!!

The grocery store has some pretty exotic fruits, the names of which escape me now. One I see here in FL is starfruit, which I haven't tried in a while. I did notice persimmons, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to give those a whirl or not. Sometimes I'm more open to experimenting with foods I haven't tried than on other days.

I was waiting for a package to come from Amazon.com which contained a book I ordered as well as a couple of sets of flatware. A note was left on the door, which came as a disappointment.....but I got on UPS' website and changed the shipping address, so it's all good. I *was* looking forward to reading that new book I got by Marilyn Stompler. Now that I'm back to eating as I should, I need all the motivation I can get!

I weighed 168.8 when I woke up this morning. I'm in the middle of cleaning out and swapping the contents of two closets full of stuff. I got the closets emptied out, and what did I find but a pair of Size 14 Misses jeans I hadn't worn in forever!! Just for kicks, I tried them on and I was able to get them zipped. There's even room in the leg area! But, they are snug around the midsection, and my gut is my worst problem area. I've been a Size 16 for months and months now, so it's nice to know a Size 14 is probably only about 10 or so pounds away!!
YAY!!!

My skin wasn't looking good a few days ago. Today, I'm not nearly as broken out as I was, and my forehead, which is usually bumpy has smoothed out quite a bit. I've had a couple of people tell me I looked good today......one of my clients used the word "lovely", so that made me feel good, especially since I wasn't crazy about the outfit I was wearing. However, T.O.M. is approaching and my chest was a little sensitive this AM.

Tomorrow I have to go in at 8:45am and stay until 5pm. I plan on bringing my lunch, something to snack on, and I will be having those pomegranates for dinner. All raw fruit tomorrow. Somehow the all raw fruit days feel good after having a salad the day before.

Big Sexy Hair is coming out with a new product line which I do belive is called Organics. It doesn't contain sulfates and is supposed to be vegan, so when I go to the professional only beauty supply, I'll have to give it a good looking over. I never buy the same products twice when it comes to shampoos and conditioners. I liked the Bed Head products I've been using for a few weeks, but they just smell overly sweet and chemically to me right now. Essential oil scents appeal to me more.Haven't decided what to do about the gel and hairspray. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Looking good! You must get some nice tropical fruits in Florida. I recently had my first persimmon. It sat on the table ripening for a week, it was still hard when I decided to take a chance on it. YUM! It tasted like a cross between a mango and a canteloupe. Very sweet. Your going strong. Keep it up!
