A few days ago, Vern and I attended a reception for a dear friend of mine who died on June 12th. She died of cirrhosis of the liver, the one that some no-drinkers get! We had been very good friends for many years since meeting while on the Board for the Food Bank many years ago.
It was amazing how much we thought the same about many issues. I remember remarking that we did not even have to talk to know what the other's opinion would be!!!
The reception hall was crowded with her friends. There was drumming by the Kenaitze Indian Tribal drummers which was very calming. I always enjoy listening to the drums as they are so healing.
It was also healing for me to get out of the house and visit with my Indian friends that I rarely get to see any more.
She will be missed forever!!!
