Another Day Without Power

So now they are saying it will be Thursday, or possibly Sunday (a full week) before we get electricity in our neighborhood. Fortunately, the weather was nice and cool last night, good for sleeping without a fan.

I'm going to have to take a cold shower at home or use the women's locker room in the school gym sometime today. Otherwise I could get way too grungy.

This, too, shall pass.

The cats are dealing with it just fine. Power? Who needs power? We can see in the dark, thank you!

    After "Hurricane Elvis" we were without power for 11 days. We had gas for hot water, made coffee on a sterno stove, etc. But it was killer hot. As soon as one of our friends got power, we were all over there, with all our pets, in his 2-bedroom house, where he was also hosting a person he'd never met for an entire week, who happened to be in town for a conference. It was actually a lot of fun...in its way! I know you'll be glad to get back to normal. Hope it's soon!

    Power outages are no fun! I bet that put a twist in preparing certain raw foods? Two years ago, we had a one week power outage after high winds. With no alternative heat source, we went to the grocery store every day to get warm and sip on some hot coffee! I could have stayed in bed all day, it was warm there, but my kids had other ideas.

    Poor Winston, getting attacked by a squirrel. Glad you are all doing okay despite the inconveniences. Hang in there. :)
