My project for today: home-made sun-dried tomatoes! If anybody has any advice, please let me know. It's my first time attempting this. I found so many paste tomatoes at the farmers market. I sliced them, and have them out in the sun now. :)
My new dehydrator has been on constantly, ever since I got it, lol. I even have all trays full since last night. I'm dehydrating some green onions and carrots. I want to put together a dried veggie soup, where I will just have to add water and have a yummy veggie soup.
And something else I have to note, that surprised me pleasantly. I finally got my new passport and was looking at flights. When I got to the reservation part, they had a drop down menu of your choice of diet. 21 choices!! And one of them, believe it or not, Raw Vegetarian! And another good one .... fruit platter! WOW!

OMG, I just had a sandwich!!! The bread turned out amazing! I was worried it was going to break, because my dough was much wetter than James Russell's version. But I didn't want to add more flax, because I don't like it overpowering my bread.
It held up through the last bite! No breaking! And it tastes soft and just like a sandwich. Not sure exactly what the bread tastes like really, since I put a lot of stuff on it, lol, but I guess that's a good thing, because I wouldn't want the bread domineering my sandwich.
Oh, it was soo good! I'm going to upload some pictures now. :)
And what was in the sandwiches?
majo
avocado
buckwheat sprouts
bell pepper
tomatoes
My last sandwich had oil, vinegar, salt and pepper on it as well, that was the best yet! :)

I'm finally making myself use up my old frozen peas in the freezer. I'll be making two recipes, a creamy pea soup and buttery peas.
The creamy pea soup I think turned out well! I started out with Emma-Liza's suggestion of using almond milk, and then looked up cooked recipes for ingredients ideas. The two bowls of soups are sitting on my sunny window sill right now.
The ingredients are:
peas
almond milk
green onions
carrots
red miso
oregano
Spice Hunter all purpose seasoning
garlic powder
All the above was approximate, I started out with 3/4 cup of peas and 3/4 cup of almond milk.
The peas for my buttery peas are still defrosting. I will definitely plan ahead next time, and take the peas out in the morning. I don't really want cold, cold peas, room temp is ok. :P
Well, I had my split pea soup, it was ok, I think maybe the miso was too strong. I coudn't eat it all, so I made a quick salad and used it as dressing. Was ok. Oh well, I will definitely keep experimenting. :)
