my friend who got crushed in the construction accident is doing well
way better than expected
whew!
we are helping them move friday as he had sold his house before the accident.

i leave every month for about 4 days to work on volunteer projects far from home...kepping busy, yes?
last nite late i got home again.
this time i was gone wed-sun nite late
and worked on a construction site near syracuse. it was sooooooo hot! especially with all the safety gear.
i didn't think i could get any hotter. (at least it didn't rain like usual- oh the mud...)
i did my usual job and was able to do 2 completely surprising new things
that made the trip very worthwhile. so the heat was bearable in the big picture. success.
i planned ahead pretty well and was able to stick to my eating plan despite terrible food conditions for a rawbie.
i brought my blender almonds, nutmilk bag, spinach, bananas and assorted little baggies with chia, vanilla, sesame, salt etc... a lunch cooler w brick of reusable ice.
some class leftovers (salmon pate, buckwheat cereal, yogurt with dill, baby pizza, brownies, bagels) a few cukes and a bag of cherry heirloom tomatoes from the garden . this lasted me the 5 days.
i had cereal w/ almond milk & green smoothie for bfast,
lunch was

baby pizzas
cherry tomatoes & sliced cukes w/ dilled yogurt over the green salad i was able to get on-site, a scoop of mock salmon pate sprinkled with sesame seeds, and a caramel brownie.
dinner the same as lunch.
i also had trail mix and almond butter for the rye bagels but never needed them.
and i drank a TON of water, which i was hesitant to do because of those stinky port-a-johns (PU!!!)
but i did it anyway... aren't ya proud of me mama?
so today i am doing a mountain of laundry unpacking and trying to get the garden to quit screaming at me.
i have already plucked a huge bowl of assorted heirloom tomatoes and processed 2 trays, for the sundry for winter, in the "D"

i have been buzzing around trying to get caught up, made an appointment with a business adviser, typed 2 contracts for dh , downloaded my work camera, & called to cancel my free 'sitter-inner' for my 1+2 class for this week... as one paying pupil has neither paid nor confirmed she was attending, and my other paying pupil canceled before sending $. this is distressing to me and i feel so much a failure in this business. i am not making enough $ to cover my bills. my dh pats me on the hand and says it's the economy. and my wished for future pupils are probably tightening their belts by not enrolling. and that his business (construction) is also slow right now. sigh.
i have been running ragged and have not even looked at my book project lately.
i begin to wonder if i do ANYthing well. sigh again.
ok time to think of the good i have done and look at my vision board (today's homework)
between laundry loads that is :)

ok back to work here....

ps:
on the very happy front for the future- my dh got a job for 10 days overseas and now that i have my passport i can join him :) he will be doing some maintainance on a castle :) :) :) which is where we will be staying this fall in france.
doin the happy dance

(all the more motivation to stick to this raw challenge!!!)
