OMG, What A NOC

Rate this Entry
I survived in one peace working my 4 12 hour shifts. OMG, my last night was horrible. I came home and grabbed my daughter and hugged on her. I did not know if I would ever see her again.

A resident fell down early in the NOC and was injured. So I sent him to ER to be evaluated. The sent him back saying in his state that they wern't going to xray his hips. (that is where his pain was). The hospital never called and gave report, the paramedics just dumped him off without giving me a report.

I went in to check up on him and he had thrown things out of his room. I searched for him and found him trying to rip out the fire extinguisher box off the wall. Then he took a table and was bashing it aganist the doors. He was in such a rage, I thought he was going to go after me next.

Now meanwhile there are residents wandering around in a total dementia zone, not comprehending the danger they were in. The act like innocent children. I seperated them into another room, gave them milk and cookies, and called for the cna.s only one responded. I sent her out for more help. The other staff reluctantly responded. I ended up having to call 911 to protect the residents, give a shot of . . . and stay the rest of the shift with the resident to ensure the others would be safe.

Now he could of taken any of us out with one hit as he is a very large man and we are usually just small females working. The angels were protecting us big time from him.

Ok, I haven't done well lately with staying true. It does not help to run out of food during your work week. I must be better prepared.

I read a card that said don't be like a coyote, saying one thing but doing another.

So tomorrow is another day to start off fresh again, hopefuly to be stronger and able to resist temptations.

My foot has been very painful, so I don't walk around much. It hurts so very, very bad. I have been keeping it elevated and have been rubbing Magnesium oil on it. Trying to heal myself.

My plans are to eat watermelon and nectarines

Make Goddess Chips for the Goddess in me.

Make more Bliss Balls, my daughter eats them up really fast.

Spend time looking at recipies to try out.

I want to try to make almost raw velveta cheese. The cooked part is agar agar. Is it ok to have a tiny bit of cooked? I want to try the recipie to see how it turns out.

Baby is doing well. She looks better. She has a difficult time at times jumping into the window and onto the bed since her leg muscle was nearly severed off. Thank goodness she did not loose her leg. She is my miracle Kitty. I am so grateful that she survived.

I measured myself the other week, and I can say I have lost many inches in my butt in one week, 1/2 inch in my waist.

My weight is the same, so far.

I am grateful to be safe.

I am so grateful for my home.

I am grateful for this group who helps support my progress.

Rosepetals.

    What a day...goodness.
I'm not always 100% either, sometimes dressing and nuts get the better of me as well, but instead of getting down on myself about it-I do better the next day. YOu will too!
