EAting Alot of Raw

Rate this Entry
Well, I had another productive day. I got up did the am feeding ritual and came in drank my lemon water.........about 24oz. I worked out went back out for the noon feed and manure maintanence. Came in and made myself a huge salad........OMG.........and ate the whole thing. I was tired and didn't feel like doing anything. But, I'm trying to gt the horses back in shape so, I can ride again. It's been a couple of years. So, I let my food digest a bit and went back out and I worked Marcus the Mustang and Bridget the Morgan (The 2 on diets for being "obese" per Vet) and I came back fed them 4:30 meal and came in and checked the forum............so much reading all the time. I can spend a day just trying to read stuff. I went back out and trimmed Bridget's feet and then worked the baby. He is really coming along nicely. He's going to be a Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat Horse! Such a nice evening and watched he sunset. I need more time. I guess I could remove my face from the puter a bit. Hehehehe. I feel good with all m accomplishments.
I am having digestion issues. I don't kow if it's bad food combining or candida. But, my stomach sorta grinds with an almost girggling type thing. Any thoughts?

It doesn't look like your eating too much to me. I'm not sure what would cause the stomach noises. Congratulations on another productive day. It will be great when the horses are in shape.

My colon does that when the food is digesting.

You must need to eat big to provide enough energy to accomplish all that you do. That's a lot of work! And a work out, too! It will be wonderful to ride your own horse again, what a great workout that will be for you and your horse. I wish I had half your energy. Your menu looks good. Maybe your tummy need time to adjust to it. If your combining is okay, how about timing....no water for 30 minutes b4 eating, and nothing for 3 hours after eating??

ooo you are so blessed to have your horsies!! How awesome! How much water are you drinking -- other than the morning lemonwater?? If your stomach isn't hurting - but just gurgling... maybe it is just digesting? or are you still hungry??

I drink alot of water through-out the day too. Probably about 4-6 16oz bottles. But, I do drink while I"m eating. I guess that's not a good combination. I didn't know that know that Knitster......thanks.

Read that about the water in one of Wolfe's books. I think the point is to allow whatever you eat or drink to digest thoroughly and pass through your stomach before you add more on top of it. His guidelines are to allow 30 minutes for fruit or green juices, 60 minutes for dense fruits (bananas, dates, dried), and 3 hours for a raw meal. Works for me. I'm curious to know if it will make a difference for you.
