The truth hurts...well, not exactly

Rate this Entry
Well ladies and gents...This is my first day 100% raw, in the past I have claimed to be 100% but I was lying...yep...liar liar pants on fire. To whom was I lying, you may be asking? Myself. I was 100 % raw (except for nuts and dressing)! What? Note to my future self... can't say 100% and "except for" in the same sentence.

I was wondering why raw was woring for so many other people, and not so much for me....because I wasn't working RAW (Thanks Aleesha).

I won't lie (again)...I craved my crappy dressing, and my roasted nuts, but I didn't eat them.

It was my first day back to work (childcare for teachers during school year) and next weekend my college classes start up again-I'm looking forward to having 2 weeks of 100% raw under my belt by the time my classes roll around.

I'm one of those rawbies without a dehydrator, vita mix, or spiral thingy....but guess what....I'm going to be saving for one and reward myself when I hit a mildstone.
Cheers (holding up gs) to finally being honest with myself!

Does the truth hurt? Not exactly. I'm hoping it heals.
Namaste'

keep it up, I am trying to be 100% raw but I think I am more like 95% raw since I have the occasional ezikiel bread, cooked quinoa and nama shayu sauce. I look forward to see what effects you will experience being 100% raw.

Good for you! I know I am not completely 100% yet and I am not ready to be (that sounded awkward ... hmmm, wonder what that is about). Anyway, I can relate as I do not have a dehydrator yet either!!! Big day for both of us!!! Enjoy it - it is one step forward.

It's okay. Now that you've admitted you have a problem, you can handle it. ;) I gave up bottled salad dressings years ago. Once you get good at making your own fresh dressing, you won't want to go back. Nuts might be a little harder to give up, but you can do it. :)

I used to love roasted nuts and now they taste weird too me. I can taste the chemicals, I guess. It's amazing to learn more about what exactly is RAW. I'm still learning. I got my 1st Vita-mix (gift-blush) It's the BOMB! Love it! Next, dehydrator.

I agree with Jenifae! The roasted nuts taste fakey and weird. They don't match my memory of how they used to taste (true about so many foods!), and so it is easy to leave them alone now.
