I have returned. Tah-dah!

I can't believe it's been so long since the last time I made an entry. Since I've been Ready to try again.

Decided to try raw again. Joined the Raw Fu Challenge for 30 days. Not 100 days because my mind can't take it. A week or so before the challenge which started Aug 1, I worked it out that I needed to do this. That half the year has gone by and I Still haven't succeeded in my weight loss. So that week I stopped obsessing about it and ate whatever. Yep my weight went up to 176.1 lbs. My jeans were tighter. Then I got another cold. Ugh.

This was the 2nd cold in 2 months. A real live, kick me cold. Dripping on Friday. Sat better. Sun okay until I cut the grass with no mask (just a little part of the yard). Mon sneezing and feeling like crap. Had to work all day. Short staffed. Came in Tues, still felt like crapola. Left early. Ear infection began and went to the doc on Thurs to help that.

Came to the conclusion that my immune system must be going down hill then or is already there. Just ripe to get some serious ailment. Thank goodness it didn't progress to asthma. I was taking a med for that just in case. Well no more. Have I hit the real bottom?

Talked 3 of my fellow workers in establishing a challenge for Aug (Asked them what have they done this year? We have 5 more months left in this year.) So two chose exercise and 1 cut smoking. I chose being raw for 30 days. Then I changed it to NO FAST FOOD establishments for 30 days. My challenge to myself was to be Raw for Aug. A good friend decided that she too was tired of being overweight too so she is "dieting" this month also.

So started 8/1 after eating alot of grease and sweet. I was miserable and stuffed. I want to feel energized, weigh less, cut out all of my ailments, to say yes I did X amount of days on Raw.

Today is my 5th day as a Raw Vegan. I have been 98% for 5 days.
Sunday I had a couple of bad moments. Monday and Tuesday have been pretty good. My taste buds must be clearing up because the collard with veggies and nut pate in it, tasted very good today for lunch. Had the same thing Monday and I didn't like it.

I have NEVER eaten very high raw for this long. Will try to keep it up. Got out all my raw vegan books, got raw books from the library, have fresh vegetables and fruits in the frig and have been trying uncooking several recipes.

I weighed 173.7 on 8/2. Today I weighed 170.8.

Going for a 6th day.

    I wasn't sure I could do this for even 30 days, but once I had made it through the first weekend, I didn't want to go backwards. The only way left was forward into raw. :) Build on your own success!

    Congratulations! Welcome back!!! I like the 30 day challenge. I couldn't handle the thoughts of 100 days. Too much. I hope you and your friend have success.

    You can do this and each day of progress will motivate you to keep going. Congrats on your weight going down too!:) I personally am loving doing the challenge and plan to continue. It is making me more enthusiastic about never quitting this way of eating.
