Attitude is everything

Rate this Entry
I picked up a card today, it said....Attitude is everything, always has been, always will be.

My breast are healthy! Hip Hip Horray! It was a long week last week, I was at the breast center for over 4 hours getting exams/tested...and everything is fine. It was a fatty cluster-first time in my life I was happy to hear the words fatty! I was so happy and thankful I cried off and on for the hour drive home-my eyes hurt by the time I arrived.
The following day my mom had her gall bladder removed, then the next day my oldest daughter had an arch expander put in her tiny little mouth...we're making room for a normal amount of teeth...

I did really well, 100% all but 2 days. I'm refusing the need/urge to beat myself up over it, and am trying to just focus on the next time I eat. For some reason, I think when I ate cooked, it was because I was wanting that "full" feeling....which I now feel is uncomfortable...but I think I thought it would be comforting...if that can, in any way, sound right.

After picking up/putting the kiddos to bed I plan on taking a hot bath, meditating, and putting pen to paper and writing out my intentions for Monday.

Much love, to all the Rawbies out there!
Namaste.

Edit-for a question...my 2 cooked days....were AFTER all the "stress" was over-I'm open for any insight/reasons or info on why that seems to be the time I slip-thanks in advance

So happy for you that it was nothing serious! I agree 100% that it's after the stress that we want comfort food. I think that during bad times we have to stay sharp and focused, but after it's over, our minds and bodies want that saturated, numb feeling to just take us over. Time to relax. Keep up the good attitude. :)

    Glad everything is ok!
As for your question- if it were me having cooked food after the stressors would be because I currently associate celebrations with cooked food. Does that make sense to you?
    Cheers!

I'm so happy to hear that you're healthy!! What a relief that must be for you. During stressful times, perhaps you don't allow yourself to feel the emotions in an effort to get through it. Until the catalyst is removed, maybe you don't realize how stressed you until it's over. Once you're through the woods, you want comfort (foods). What kind of meditation do you do?

    Thanks everyone,
I think you hit that spot on, I don't feel stress at the time - just after it's over-and I've never noticed that. Thank you for the help!

Yoga, and just plain old meditation....

That is just excellent! I had a scary lump that they later called "thickening of the tissue." Sounds gross, but it was music to my ears! I agree with the celebration theory. Relief can make us as giddy as something like alcohol can!
