Day 2 - 1 day water fast

I was reading Brian Clemente's book about the raw diet and he recommends doing a water fast one day a week. What with work and so many activities on the weekend I thought I would like to pick a day each week when my workload or social calendar might permit. I decided to do my water fast today for this week. So far I am doing well, but I feel a bit tired and spacey. Supposedly these kind of things get you through detox and to superior health quicker. Well, give me some of that!

I pack a lot of raw food daily for work so that I can avoid temptation. I also have a 3 hour commute and I pack lots of snacks for the drive so that I don't get home ravenous and tempted to eat SAD. Today it was so nice to leave the house without my two lunchbags of raw stuff. I have a water bottle at work so I didn't need to bring anything with me to do the water fast. I was tempted to bring some fruit in case I got too hungry or spacey. However, I decided against it thinking that it might be too tempting to have something with me for an emergency. There are some restaurants nearby and I figured I could always grab a salad if I felt like I just couldn't make it.

I am not that hungry, but I keep craving a banana. I feel like if I allowed myself to have a banana right now, I would treasure every bite of it. If the craving still persists tomorrow, I can have one first thing in the morning.
