Well. I had a time of it yesterday with my Dr....
I have Candidia (which I knew) a pretty significant Vitamin D deficiency, and Lyme Disease. The Candidia was a bad enough diagnosis, I mean it is a fairly serious condition that really needs to be dealt with. I have a pretty rough case, and have been on an antifungal for over a month which I do believe is helping. Now, I have to go on an antibiotic for the Lyme. I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday because I feel like I am trying so hard to heal my body, eat a clean wholesome raw diet and then I get ANOTHER CHEMICAL to put in my body! I know my Dr, being holistic, would not put me on these pills if he did not think it was totally necessary. I do trust him, and he also has me taking other herbs/supplements to support my system as well. It is so frustrating though. I do believe that this raw way of being is going to help me heal much quicker than the average joe...Lyme treatment involves feeling worse before you are better, and I am hoping that because of my raw lifestyle, I will not have to endure any major level of 'sick'. All I can do now, is trust that I am doin the best for my body, and continue on this path.
I have noticed that I do not crave sugar/carbs/fruit any more. I think this is a good sign for the Candidia treatment as I was a sugar-holic before. I really have no desire for fruit, carbs, or candy/sugar at all. I still find this so amazing and great. I am hoping to instinctively continue an with that...really focusing on veggies, some grains (though I notice I don't do much...I need to look at that) and try for maybe one piece of fruit a day, or have one of my goddess bars, a fudge ball or something with fruit. Or, maybe just some juice...I do enjoy juice from time to time...I try to have some every day so that may be enough. I want to eat intuitively, but also be aware of the balance in my nutrition. I want to be aware of what my body is 'craving' and make sure I am clear on what it truely needs. What a trip...
Yesterday I ate:
monkey bar and a lara bar (I was in the car/at the Dr's for a while and it was all I had!)
big salad with spinach, lettuce, carrots, avo, okra, broccoli and flax/lemon dressing
1l of water.
